Hello Birdy
Hello Birdy is a passion project that is near and dear to my heart. My 7-years-young daughter started her own business, painting birdhouses and selling them to our neighbors. Being the detail-oriented little genius she is, she wanted to create a brand for her business to make it look more professional. This is a collaboration with the best partner I ever had for a project, Madison Tanzil.

THE BRIEF: Hello Birdy is the entrepreneurial brainchild of my actual child. My philanthropist of a daughter, who was 7 years old at the time, was inspired by her desire to support the World Wildlife Fund. She established her own business selling hand-crafted birdhouses but need help with making it look official. She wanted a logo and brand that exuded warmth and approachability while maintaining a mature aesthetic.

THE SOLUTION: The Hello Birdy logo harmoniously blends two sans serif typefaces, embodying a contemporary yet simplistic feel that reflects the founder's youthful innocence. Its clever use of negative space adds a delightful touch, embracing the company's inherent charm. Drawing from my daughter's favorite colors, the Spring-inspired palette invokes a sense of joy. Kiona and American Typewriter were thoughtfully chosen for their accessibility, ensuring ease of use for non-designers in creating marketing materials. Handcrafted patterns infuse whimsy and lightness into the brand, while editorial design enhances the shopping experience, showcasing readily available birdhouse styles.
